    Founded in 1912, Technion is the oldest university in Israel. In 1924, the Technion opened its doors to the first graduate student, then in the faculty of Civil Engineering, beginning its the historic task of preparing young men and women to build a new nation. Since its founding, it has awarded over 95,000 degrees and its graduates are cited to have provided the skills and education behind the creation and protection of the State of Israel.
    Ranked among the top technological universities in the world, the Technion has a distinguished faculty of over 600 that includes three Nobel Prize-winning scientists.

    Originally founded as the Sieff Institute, was expanded in 1949 and named after Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Israel's first president and a renowned chemist. Today, it is a recognized post-graduate center of research in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and the life sciences. Its researchers are engaged in projects designed to accelerate the development of industry and the establishment of new science-based enterprises. The institute includes a department for science teaching, which prepares curricula for use in high schools.

    Founded in 1918  with Albert Einstein as one of the founders, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem comprises faculties which cover nearly all areas of scholarship, from art history to zoology, and houses Israel's National Library. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is Israel’s premier university and one of the world’s top 100 universities.     Since its founding in 1969, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) has transformed this stunning desert region in the southern part of Israel. Named after David Ben-Gurion, Israel’s first Prime Minister, BGU is dedicated to fulfilling his vision of making the desert bloom with agriculture, science, technology and innovation.

    The University of Haifa is a developing and dynamic institution with a world-renowned reputation in many different fields of research, and it is the leading University in Israel in the fields of the Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Welfare and Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Education and Management.  The University was selected by the Council for Higher Education to lead the field of Marine Research as well as the field of Education in a Networked Society.
